You’ve seen the movies and maybe a couple of documentaries about Scuba Diving and only dreamt about such experiences, well Havering & Ilford Scuba Diving club can train you from complete beginner to Advanced Diver level and even to instructor level, the choice is all yours.
We are a non profit Scuba Diving Club affiliated to the British Sub-Aqua Club. The Club has over a 100 members, with our own fully air conditioned Clubhouse incorporating a licensed bar and hall. We are located in the Romford, Essex area and have our own compressor for filling dive cylinders, plus 2 RIB’s (Rigid Inflatable Boat), which are used regularly for diving in UK coastal waters, which contrary to popular belief has unbelievable diversity in marine life and one the biggest concentration of shipwrecks in the world.
If you are already a qualified diver with another agency, such as PADI, SSI, etc.. then you would be warmly welcomed at our active and family friendly Scuba Diving Club.

If you have always wanted to learn to dive or are simply curious about scuba diving, then a Try Dive with Havering & Ilford Scuba Diving Club is the perfect introduction!
In the safe confines of the pool, a BSAC Instructor will introduce you to the basic skills and equipment needed to experience the thrill of breathing underwater for the very first time. Try Dives cost £15.
A typical Try Dive session lasts about 45 minutes. It involves poolside tuition on diving techniques and equipment, followed by a scuba dive in our pool with a BSAC-qualified instructor.
