Seaford to Sink a Battleship
Update
As most of you will have probably read in this month's DIVE magazine there are plans to sink an ex-naval warship off the coast of Seaford. With our RIBs being moored on the East Sussex coast, this will be a prime opportunity for the Club. I have contacted the project team and asked if we can offer any assistance in the project.
They have asked that people show their support by emailing them through their website. This will create an e-petition to show the support for the project:
www.sinkone4seaford.co.uk

There is also a public meeting about the project with guest speakers:
J Straith (President of the Canadian Artificial Reef Consortium)
Mike Leece OBE
both of whom were involved in the sinking of HMS Scylla.
The meeting is on:
2nd November, 2007
@ 6.30pm
Seaford Baptist Church,
Belgrave Road,
Seaford.
BN25 2EE.
Wreck Information
I'm considering creating a new page on the website that lists Information about the wrecks we have dived such as a brief history of the wreck, when it was built, sunk, type of vessel, size and its current state and depth, also gps co-ordinates for it. Anyone interested in helping compile the list or who has information or comments on it, please contact:
imwrecked@bsac49.org.uk
or see Graham King.
