Welcome to BSAC 49; we are a Scuba Diving Club affiliated to the British Sub-Aqua Club. The Club has around 100 members, with its own Clubhouse incorporating a fully licensed bar and hall. We are located in the Romford, Essex area. We have two RIBs (boats) one of which is stored at the Club, the other at a marina. Both are used regularly for diving in UK coastal waters.  Thursday night is Club night where general socialising and our pool training takes place at the local pool, which is next door to the Clubhouse. Theory lessons take place on a Monday night when things are a little quieter; and we also have a keep fit class for members on Wednesday night. We also run very successful Club holidays, both home and abroad and various social events throughout the year, culminating in the end of year Dinner & Dance. At this time, much coveted awards such as 'Plonker of the Year' and 'Trainee of the Year' amongst others, are presented. So whether you are a hardened sea dog or would just love to have a go, all are welcome at the 49s.
